- Eat more slowly with each meal.

- Decrease your amount of salt since it has a tendency to make you retain fluid and may mask actual body weight reduction.
- Limit caffeine to two cups of coffee, tea or diet soda daily. Caffeine may increase your appetite.
- Don’t eat while watching TV or reading. You will eat more while not concentrating on your meal.
